The Hrant Dink Foundation launched ‘pari’, an artificial intelligence-supported hate speech detection tool developed in cooperation with Sabancı University and Boğaziçi University. The application can detect hate speech in Turkish and Arabic texts. The application aims to contribute to raising social awareness in the fight against hate speech and to the formation of an inclusive language.
How does it work?
With the standard and professional membership options in the application, individual users, researchers and professionals in the field will be able to detect and analyse hate speech in texts.
- Text analysis: Analyse hate speech in individual texts or large data sets.
- Awareness raising: By detecting hate speech and discriminatory discourse, it informs users and enables users to raise awareness.
- Countering hate speech: It allows researchers to analyse and better understand the language used. In this way, it contributes to the fight against discrimination through language.
