402 - Relationships with Volunteers

About

Civil society organizations consist of volunteers who come together around a common goal and establish internal rules. However, as organizations develop and their institutional structures expand, they require regular human resources. These human resources include not only volunteers who are members or supporters, but also professional employees.

When it is considered that there is approximately one paid employee for every three civil society organizations in our country, it can be better understood how important volunteers are for civil society organizations. However, working effectively with volunteers requires good planning, starting with defining volunteerism and including important checkpoints.

The training titled 402- Relationships with Volunteers was prepared to provide information about existing volunteer practices in the world and in our country, and to contribute to the design of volunteer programs for civil society organizations according to their own needs.
