While there is no publicly available official data or statistics on the right to conscientious objection in Turkey, the data presented in the report was obtained through the monitoring work carried out by Conscientious Objection Watch to determine the situation of conscientious objectors and those who are obliged to perform compulsory military service. The graphs in the report are also based on the data obtained within the scope of this monitoring study.

The report evaluates the "civilian death" processes experienced by conscientious objectors, especially in the context of restriction of freedom of movement and violation of the right to work, and draws attention to the incompatibility between Turkish legislation and international human rights law.
