2011 State of Volunteering in the World Report

United Nations Volunteers published the 2011 State of Volunteering in the World Report. Focusing on universal values that drive people around the world to volunteer for the public good, the report examines the impact of volunteer activities on society and individuals.

United Nations Volunteers published the 2011 State of Volunteering in the World Report. Focusing on universal values that drive people around the world to volunteer for the public good, the report examines the impact of volunteer activities on society and individuals.

During the preparation of the report, nine consultative meetings were held between October 2010 and February 2011 to discuss volunteering issues and benefit from the expertise of volunteer researchers, academic and civil society leaders, and development activists around the world. An internal UNV reading group consisting of UNV management and technical staff was formed to review and interpret the draft State of the World's Volunteering Report.
