Women's Human Rights - New Solutions Association (KİH-YÇ) is an independent women's organization established in 1993 to defend and implement women's human rights in Turkey and around the world.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To develop strategies for national, international, and local advocacy activities, prepare action plans, budgets, and reports together with the advocacy team,
  • To carry out relations and activities with all relevant stakeholders, especially public institutions and organizations, local and international NGOs, intergovernmental institutions, within the scope of the national and international advocacy works of the Association,
  • To monitor and follow the existing international mechanisms and conventions on gender equality and women's rights, to participate in the reporting processes,
  • To create campaigns with the advocacy team in line with the advocacy goals of the Association and to carry out them in coordination with the team,
  • To organize meetings, actions, workshops, conferences, panels, teleconferences, etc. to support national, international, and local advocacy efforts,
  • To represent the association at events and to ensure that the outputs of these activities are shared with the team and related networks,
  • To respond to requests from the press or researchers regarding the advocacy work of the Association, to give oral and/or written opinions, to inform the team about the contributions made to these requests,
  • To follow the existing local, national, and international networks in line with the advocacy purposes of the Association, to support the processes of establishing new networks when necessary, to contribute to the related network activities, mainly by transferring experience and information sharing, and capacity-strengthening activities,
  • To produce strategies and content together with the team for the development and dissemination of feminist knowledge production, to ensure the sharing of knowledge and experience among the movements,
  • To follow the agenda in the areas where the association works through national and international networks and media reflections, inform the team when necessary, contribute to the related advocacy work on behalf of the association, coordinate team participation when necessary,
  • To support the realization of research that will support the advocacy work of the Association and to publish campaign contents, reports, press releases, brochures, publications, websites, videos, social media content, etc. prepare and contribute to the publications of the association from an advocacy perspective,
  • To carry out monitoring and evaluation activities related to advocacy studies,
  • To participate in necessary training and meetings within the scope of advocacy activities,
  • To support other necessary works related to the continuation of the activities of the association,
  • To support the search for new funding sources and application processes within the scope of advocacy activities,

Desired Features

  • Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred)
  • Very good verbal and written knowledge of Turkish and English Experience in women's rights and gender equality Identifying yourself as a feminist
  • At least 3 years of work experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and online communication methods
  • No travel restrictions
  • Being active or willing to be in the feminist movement residing in Istanbul
  • Be available to work in the office full time
