Applications for the New Generation Nature Academy have started for university students in Eskişehir

Artıyeşiliz, a civic initiative that aims to raise awareness about the climate crisis and strengthen the connection between humans and nature, has started accepting applications for the New Generation Nature Academy, which focuses on nature, the climate crisis and the concept of community. University students studying in Eskişehir can apply for the New Generation Nature Academy.

What can participants in the New Generation Nature Academy expect?

  • An educational environment that stands out from boring classrooms.
  • To understand what the climate crisis and nature are.
  • The ability to empathize with people affected by climate change. *
  • Knowledge about air, water and soil.
  • What the ecological rights of individuals have in their lives.
  • Bird watching.
  • Experienced and well-equipped instructors.
  • To discover Discover what you can do.
  • To understand the importance of community.
  • To be able to talk to the instructor one-on-one about any question you want to ask.
  • Having knowledge of local nature issues.

What is expected of participants in the New Generation Nature Academy?

The program will take place over a total of 5 days, April 27and 28 and May 4 and 5and 11. Full participation on all days is required.

General program sequence;

  • April 27, 2024 (Saturday) - Day of Fire

Burcu Meltem Arık - The focus will be on nature and climate.

  • April 28, 2024 (Sunday) - Day of Water

Gökçe Şencan- Ayşe Doğrubak- Murat Tutar - The topic of water and climate will be emphasized and the Yeryüzü Ekoloji Okulu will be visited.

  • May 4, 2024 (Saturday) - Weather Day

Deniz Gümüşel- Ozan Devrim Yay- Güler Bozok - The topic of weather and climate will be highlighted. Bird watching will be carried out.

  • May 5, 2024 (Sunday)- Day of the Soil

Onur İleri - Münevver Kepenek - The topic of soil and climate will be emphasized and the village of Kozkayı will be visited.

  • May 11, 2024 (Saturday)- Community day

Experiences and knowledge will be shared through various activities accompanied by local experts.

* The detailed version of the program (program agenda) will be shared only with the accepted participants.

** The program will take place on 27and 28 April and 4and 5and 11 May and will last a total of 5 days. The number of participants is limited to 20. The application deadline is April 21, 2024 at 11:59 pm.

*** If the required number of applications is reached, the application process may be closed early. It is therefore recommended that you complete your application without waiting for the last day of the application period.

****Those who are accepted will be informed via the e-mail addresses they provided in the application form no later than April 24, 2024. Full participation is mandatory for all participants whose applications has been accepted. Those who have been accepted must join the New Generation Nature Academy Whatsapp group within two days, the link to which is included in the acceptance e-mail.
By doing so, participants ensure that they will participate for five days. If the participant does not join the WhatsApp group link within two days, they will be removed from the reserve list. The information will be sent by e-mail.

*****Participation in the New Generation Nature Academy is free of charge. The academy takes place entirely within the boundaries of Eskişehir and is aimed at students studying in Eskişehir, as well as preparatory and graduate students.
