Rights-based workshops from the Hrant Dink Foundation to promote democracy, equality and coexistence

Hrant Dink Foundation will be in Ankara on 2-6 May 2024 with different workshops as part of the Rights Based Learning Program.

  • The Inclusive Language Workshop is based on the Hrant Dink Foundation's work on monitoring hate speech and discriminatory discourse in print media, which has been conducted since 2009. The Inclusive Language Workshop aims to raise awareness and contribute to the establishment of a new human rights-oriented language to strengthen coexistence. The duration of the workshop is 4 hours. The number of participants is limited to 20 people.
  • Rights Based Life Workshop is designed as a workshop based on testimonies and shedding light on Turkey's multicultural past. Throughout the workshop, which aims to promote pluralism, multiculturalism, coexistence, empathy, equal citizenship, active participation and dialogue-based discussion are emphasized. The duration of the workshop is 4 hours. The number of participants is limited to 15 people.
  • Democracy City is a role play in which participants create their own cities through democratic methods. Participants are divided into small groups, identify strategies and create a program to build a city. The game is based on a dialogic discussion and participants develop their skills in negotiation and problem-solving. The duration of the workshop is 3.5 hours. It is played with a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 32 participants. For participants aged 13-17.
