On November 16, International Tolerance Day, the 11th issue of SİYAH E-Dergi, the digital publication project of the Leyli Art Association, was released. Prepared under the theme “Human and World,” this issue explores the connection between nature, humanity, and art, raising new questions about existence, transformation, and belonging: What kind of world do we live in, and what kind of world are we leaving behind?
What's in this issue?
- Interview: A conversation with Eren Kara from Sesimiz Ol Platformu about the relationship between art, nature, and humanity; the Sunflower series explores fragile connections through flowers growing between concrete.
- Research: The article “Between the Stage and the World” examines the transformation of theater in the digital age.
- CSO Corner: The section dedicated to the Sulukule Volunteers Association recounts the sprouting of solidarity amid destruction and the struggle for children's right to nutrition.
- Cinema and Literature: Alfonso Cuarón's Children of Men reinterprets nature, hope, and human relationships; Sait Faik's story “Semaver” questions the bond between the individual and the past.
- Poetry and Essays: Texts such as Minik Eller (Tiny Hands), Boşalan Mekanlar (Empty Spaces), and Son Işıkta İnsan (Human in the Last Light) invite readers on a journey from the inner world of humans to the mirror of the planet.
