Urban Sketchers (USk) has launched its ‘Reportage Grant’ programme for 2025 to support illustrators around the world. The programme aims to encourage artists who document cultural events, social dynamics and current developments through drawings made through direct observation.
What is reportage?
Reportage is the documentation of an event, place or cultural phenomenon through direct observation and drawings. These drawings, supported by short narrative texts, aim to convey to the viewer the context, characters and atmosphere of the event.
Grant details
- Grant Amount: Selected projects will receive up to 400 USD to cover project-related costs.
- Application Deadline: 31 August 2025, 12:00 (UTC)
- Announcement of Winners 31 October 2025
- Project Delivery Date: 31 May 2026 
Application process
