Program objective
Within the scope of this call, the projects to be supported are expected to contribute to agricultural ecological transition in at least one of the following two thematic areas:
- Topic 1: Increasing the genetic diversity and variability of crops and farm animals for agricultural ecological transition
- Topic 2: Strengthening farmers' participation and competencies in the process of transitioning to agroecology
Who can apply?
- Universities,
- Research institutions,
- Public institutions,
- NGOs,
- Private companies can apply.
Applications must be submitted by international consortia that include at least three eligible partners from at least three different countries on the list of funding countries.
Turkey is among the member countries of the Agroecology Partnership. In addition to the international application, researchers applying from Turkey generally also need to submit a national application to TÜBİTAK. These applications are evaluated under the TÜBİTAK 1071 Program.

- Pre-proposal deadline: February 18, 2026, 14:00 (CET)
- Full proposal deadline: July 8, 2026, 14:00 (CEST)
- Earliest possible project start date: January 2027
Application process
The application process is carried out in two stages.
In the first stage, a pre-proposal must be submitted online by the consortium coordinator. Consortia whose pre-proposals are successful will be invited to submit a full proposal in the second stage.
