The Hearing-Impaired People and Their Families Association published the Accessibility Guide for the deaf and hearing-impaired people with the support of the Together Institutional Support Program which supported by the European Union.

Onur Cantimur, who is vice president of IED and a utilizer of the bilateral bionic ear, wrote “Never without us for us! Accessibility Guide for the deaf and hearing-impaired people.” Besides aiming to plant in the notion of advocacy, starting from UN The Right of Disabled People Contract (which signed by Turkey), the book also tells legal rights, the good examples in the field, valid manner, and approach that specific to the deaf and hearing-impaired people.

By saying “Never without us for us!”, the book draws attention to the need for participation of civil society in the decision-making process on behalf of disadvantaged individuals, furthermore, it stresses that accessibility is a human right.  The book, which is specific to deaf and hearing-impaired people, is a first in Turkey, and it can be requested without payment.
