The library brings together audio and written mathematics materials tailored to the needs of visually impaired students and teachers. Nearly 1,400 documents, created using resources from the Ministry of National Education and various publishers, offer accessible content covering a wide range from high school level to postgraduate exams. The project also includes workshops on producing accessible documents for teachers, support courses, and an Accessible Mathematics Camp for students.
EGED does not just provide resources through this project; it also aims to create an interactive environment that strengthens the individual learning processes of visually impaired students. The association ensures that more students benefit from the library through promotional events held at schools for the visually impaired across the country.
Among the emerging international examples of accessible digital mathematics initiatives, dijitalmatematik.org stands out as a pioneering platform in Turkey in this field. EGED's initiative is considered an important step in enabling visually impaired students to compete on equal terms during the transition to digital exam applications.
