Within the scope of the Amazon Research Awards (ARA), the application process for the Spring 2026 term has begun for artificial intelligence research focused on solving fundamental problems in the field of information security.
Scope of the Program and Support Amount
Selected researchers will be provided with a cash grant of up to an average of 80,000 USD and up to 40,000 USD in AWS Promotional Credit. The support will be transferred to the relevant institutions as a one-time, unrestricted gift.
Which areas are supported?
The program specifically supports work in the following areas:
- Development of reliable autonomous (agentic) AI systems for security operations
- Threat, intrusion, and anomaly detection in cloud environments and autonomous systems
- AI-powered vulnerability detection, incident response, and red teaming applications
- Security of generative AI and foundational models (data security, anonymization, data leakage prevention)
- Reinforcement learning, graph modeling in cybersecurity, and secure code generation
Who can apply?
- Full-time faculty members at accredited universities
- Staff researchers employed at legally recognized non-governmental organizations
The program is open to researchers worldwide with no geographical restrictions, and applications from Turkey are also accepted.
