Anna Lindh Foundation 2025 Alexandria Open Call

The Anna Lindh Foundation invites cultural and intercultural organizations from the Euro-Mediterranean region to organize creative activities as part of Alexandria’s role as the 2025 Mediterranean Capital of Culture and Dialogue. The call aims to make the city a hub for artistic expression, intercultural dialogue, and youth-centered creativity through ticket-free cultural events.

Events can take place in both public and indoor spaces across Alexandria, from iconic sites like the Alexandria Library and Qaitbay Citadel to cultural centers and community spaces. Projects are expected to highlight the unifying power of culture, promote social inclusivity, and celebrate the diversity of the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Applications should include detailed budgets covering venue, equipment, materials, artist fees, transportation, meals, international travel, and accommodation

Funding will be provided as lump sums; applicants are strongly encouraged to co-finance through their own resources or local partners

Eligibility

  • Non-profit cultural activities taking place in Alexandria between October–December 2025
  • Open to intercultural organizations and cultural institutions
  • Projects should be interactive, human-centered, and connected to the local community

This call reflects the Foundation’s mission to support cross-border dialogue, cultural diversity, and collaboration, offering organizations a platform to contribute to a shared Mediterranean identity through innovative cultural engagement.
