Applications are now open for the EIT Prize for Women Innovators

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has begun accepting applications for the 2026 EIT Prize for Women Innovators 2026, which recognises Europe's most inspiring female entrepreneurs and innovators.

The competition, which rewards women who have established successful companies and brought their innovations to market, consists of three categories.

Women who are founders or co-founders of a company are eligible to apply for the competition.

Categories and prizes

Women Innovators Category

This category is aimed at inspiring female founders of all ages.

The prizes are €100,000 for first place, €70,000 for second place, and €50,000 for third place.

Rising Innovators Category

This category is aimed at promising young entrepreneurs aged 35 and under.

The prizes are €50,000 for first place, €30,000 for second place, and €20,000 for third place.

New European Bauhaus (NEB) Innovators Category

This category is aimed at women who integrate the principles of the New European Bauhaus—sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusivity—into their work.

The prizes are as follows: 50,000 € for first place, 30,000 € for second place, and 20,000 € for third place.

Application process

Applications are submitted online via the European Commission's ‘Funding & Tenders’ portal. Before applying, it is essential to carefully review the guide document containing all the rules and conditions.

The deadline for applications is 25 September 2025.
