The program aims to encourage scientific research and discussion in the fields of energy transition and environmental justice, which are critical in the search for solutions to the climate crisis. Ecolarship supports thesis projects in a wide range of fields, from basic sciences to engineering, social and administrative sciences, and interdisciplinary studies.
Who can apply?
Applicants must have completed their coursework in their master's program and be conducting thesis research on environmental justice or energy transition.
Support scope
Ecolarship recipients will receive monthly financial support of 6,500 TL for eight months. Additionally, the scholarship includes research and book support, domestic and international travel opportunities, and chances to build professional connections.

Applications will be accepted until July 10, 2025, through the Heinrich Böll Foundation Istanbul Office’s website. Applicants only need to complete the online application form.
