
Awards will be given in five categories:
- Conservation and Adaptive Reuse: Projects for the conservation and adaptive reuse of cultural heritage.
- Research: Innovative research work in the field of cultural heritage.
- Education, Training and Skills: Projects focussed on knowledge transfer, capacity building and skills acquisition.
- Citizen Participation and Awareness Raising: Initiatives promoting participation, social cohesion and multicultural dialogue.
- Heritage Champions: Individuals or organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to cultural heritage
Who can apply?
Applications are accepted from countries participating in the Culture component of the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union. These include EU Member States, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and some candidate countries. As Turkey does not participate in the Creative Europe Programme, applications from Turkey will only be considered for the Europa Nostra Awards.
Online information sessions will be organised to support applicants. Participation is free, but registration is mandatory.

Applications can be made in English via the online system at european-heritage.awardsplatform.com. There is no fee for the application.
