Applications Open for the First In-Person Training of the Equality Academy

The Equality Academy, implemented within the scope of the Strong Civil Space for Gender Equality – Phase II project financed by the European Union and carried out by UN Women Turkey, is organizing its first in-person training program in Ankara on June 27-28, 2026.

The Equality Academy, conducted by TEDU Gender, aims to strengthen feminist knowledge, increase the institutional and technical capacities of CSOs, and enhance cooperation and solidarity among actors working in the field of gender equality and women's empowerment.

On the first day of the program, a training titled “Framing, Measuring, and Communicating Impact” will be held. This training will cover applicable methods for CSOs to analyze their target groups and the ecosystem they operate in, identify and monitor the changes resulting from their activities, and communicate these to stakeholders.

The “Women’s Participation in Conflict Resolution” training, which will be held on the second day, will focus on the UN Women, Peace and Security Agenda, women’s participation in conflict resolution and reconciliation processes, basic negotiation skills, and the role of civil society in these processes.

The trainings are open to CSOs, cooperatives, and organizations working in the field of gender equality and operating in the Central Anatolia Region. For the program, which is free of charge, due to a quota limit, only one participant per institution will be accepted. Certificates of participation will be given to those who attend both trainings in full.
