The program aims to provide participants with a comprehensive perspective on the philanthropy ecosystem, enabling them to gain knowledge and experience across a wide range of topics, from current trends in philanthropy to international collaborations and grant processes.
Program participants will:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the philanthropy ecosystem: Participants will learn about philanthropy trends, models, and legal frameworks in Turkey and around the world.
- Internalize strategic philanthropy and social investment approaches: They will increase their capacity to develop private sector collaborations and impact-focused investment strategies.
- Develop individual philanthropy and volunteerism strategies: They will gain practical knowledge on relationship management with individual donors, storytelling, and volunteerism models.
- Learn grant-making processes: Participants will learn about grant-making processes and develop models they can implement in their own organizations.
- They will learn about access to global networks and international collaboration opportunities: They will be able to connect with international philanthropy networks and follow trends in the civil sector on a global scale.
The program is free of charge and limited to 25 participants. Ten of the available spots are reserved for members of TÜSEV. Travel and accommodation expenses for two participants from outside Istanbul, which will take place once a month, will be covered by TÜSEV.
Applications will be accepted through an open call; candidates who complete the form and meet the application criteria will be evaluated by the TÜSEV team, and those accepted into the program will be notified in December.
Training program method
- Face-to-face sessions: Held once a month at Minerva Han (Karaköy, Istanbul).
- Online sessions: Held at least once and up to three times a month, depending on the topic, via approximately 2-hour Zoom meetings.

Application requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in civil society organizations or social enterprises.
- If the applicant works full-time at an NGO, they must obtain a letter of approval from the organization confirming their participation in the program.
- The questions on the area of expertise and the application form must be completed in full.
- The program will be conducted in person one day per month from January to June 2026, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.; one half-day per month online; and one day between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. online. At least 60% attendance is expected.
