Under the program, human rights defenders will be eligible to receive support for transportation, per diem, and participation fees to attend domestic, international, and online events/programs related to the field of human rights and that contribute to their human rights advocacy activities.
Application period: October 1, 2025 – March 31, 2028 (Applications to the program may close before the specified date depending on budget availability.)
Who can apply?
Human rights defenders who meet the following conditions may apply for support under the program:
- Reside in Turkey,
- Be over 18 years of age,
- The work carried out must be related to the field of human rights,
- The event/program to be attended must be related to the field of human rights and the applicant's practice as a human rights defender must be clearly stated,
- If participating in events conducted in a foreign language, the applicant must be proficient in the language in which the event will be held,
- Possess a valid passport and visa,
- Complete the application form in full and provide all required documents.
Human rights defenders wishing to participate in domestic and international events will receive support for transportation (including visa fees), per diem (including accommodation, meals, and local transportation), and event participation fees.
Human rights defenders can apply for an event taking place no later than March 2028, in accordance with the program schedule.
