As part of its monitoring activities, STGM will prepare the Civil Society Organizations in Türkiye Report to track data related to freedom of association and the right to participation. In addition, STGM will publish the Perception of Civil Society Report to measure public attitudes toward civil society. TÜSEV, on the other hand, will address issues such as legal guarantees, financial sustainability, and public–CSO relations in its "Enabling Environment Monitoring Matrix – Türkiye Reports".
In the new phase, research will also focus on CSOs’ human resources. Within this scope, TÜSEV will:
- organize a workshop with the participation of human resources experts, trade union representatives, and academics on data collection and sampling,
- conduct field research,
- prepare two case studies focusing on volunteering and paid employment, and
- publish all findings in a Human Resources Report.
During the implementation of the Monitoring Freedom of Association Project, in-depth monitoring will be carried out. To examine the key challenges faced by CSOs, focus group meetings and individual interviews will be conducted on topics such as fundraising, access to finance, audits, human resources, and tax regulations. In addition, local consultation meetings will be held in cities outside İstanbul and Ankara to exchange views with CSOs and to gather local experiences.
