Applications are now open for the Fall Term of the Civil Monitoring Program, which aims to empower young people to examine local youth policies and services in their cities and to express their views and recommendations on these services from a rights-based and critical perspective.
Implemented by the Four Seasons Association with the support of the Consulate General of Sweden, the Local Youth Policies and Youth Strategy Project and the Civil Monitoring Program aim to enable young people to provide feedback on local youth policies that directly affect them, and to create an agenda for shaping these policies through a participatory approach that takes young people’s views into account.
Application criteria
- Residing in Izmir
- Aged between 17–30
- Having an interest in, or willingness to engage with, monitoring and evaluating local youth policies and services in Izmir
- Being able to fully participate in the program’s activities
- Having the motivation and time to take part in “civil monitoring” practices during October – November 2025
- Committing to attend the full 3-day training program (attendance in all sessions is required; part-time participation is not possible)
- Taking part in the final meeting where civil monitoring findings will be shared with relevant stakeholders.
Evaluation criteria
- Complete submission of the application form
- Level of motivation
- Consistency between the applicant’s reasons for applying and the objectives of the program
The program is limited to 25 participants.
Trainings are free of charge, and lunch will be provided within the scope of the project.
