Within the scope of the project, which aims for children to explore the relationship between marine and terrestrial ecosystems and to establish a more equitable and responsible connection with nature, workshops based on games, art, and experiences will be organized on topics such as waste reduction, reuse, recycling, composting, and the culture of sharing.
For the activities to be held in Büyükada, Heybeliada, Burgazada, and Kınalıada, five volunteer educators will be selected from each island.
Applications are open to those interested in ecology, environment, and sustainability, those with experience working with children, educators, artists, and anyone interested in game- and art-based learning methods. Although previous teaching experience is not required, sensitivity to children's rights, openness to teamwork, and regular participation in the process will be prioritized.
The selected volunteers will attend the educator training to be held at Çelik Gülersoy Cultural Center on August 1-2, 2026, and will take part in children's workshops to be organized on their respective islands throughout August.
