The project's main activities consist of workshops that will take place in person and online with the active participation of young people. In order to enrich the workshop activities, memory walks and field visits will also be organized, including visits to memory spaces and meetings with local actors.
Who can apply?
We welcome applications from young people who approach social memory from different disciplines such as history, sociology, architecture, law, and fine arts, or who have gained experience in this field through civil society. However, young people who have not previously worked in the field of memory but who show personal interest, curiosity, and effort in this area may also apply.
Priority will be given to applicants from outside Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir; those belonging to vulnerable groups; and those interested in themes such as severe human rights violations, racism, gender, and ecological destruction.
Applicants must:
- be between the ages of 20 and 30,
- be interested in developments in Turkey and around the world,
- be eager to question what they know,
- be able to adapt to collective and creative production processes,
- be able to offer different perspectives on issues throughout the project,
- be motivated to enrich discussions with their personal and social experiences.
