Call for Youth Participation in Local Decisions: Applications for the Youth’s Say Project Trainer Trainings have begun

The Youth Have a Say Project has started accepting applications for the “Youth Rights Based Inclusive Urban Governance Trainer Trainings”.

The Youth Has a Say Project aims to strengthen the meaningful and inclusive participation of young people in local decision-making processes and contribute to the dissemination of governance models that respect youth rights. Applications have started for the “Youth Rights-Based Inclusive Urban Governance Trainer Trainings” that were implemented within this scope.

The training program was designed to support the active participation of young people in urban management, contribute to the rights-based shaping of youth policies and strengthen individuals with training capacity in this field.

Within the scope of the trainer training, participants will learn and strengthen together on the following topics:

  • What is inclusive governance?
  • How are youth rights-based policies developed?
  • How is cooperation established with municipalities?
  • What are the foundations of adult education and experiential learning?
  • How is the guide used and how are local trainings planned?

About the project

The Youth Have a Say Project, which was launched in January 2025, is supported by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Strengthening Civil Participation for the Development of Democratic Local Governance in Turkey Project — in short, the Civil Participation Project — Grant Program. The project aims to strengthen the meaningful and inclusive participation of young people in local decision-making processes and to disseminate governance models that respect youth rights. The project is carried out under the leadership of the Youth Services Center in partnership with Mezitli Municipality and Seferihisar Municipality.
