Children's Rights Discourse is Strengthening: Workshops for Civil Society Continue

Within the scope of the ACAR Project, carried out with UNICEF's technical support and in cooperation with the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, the sub-project "Enhancing the Capacity of Academia and Media to Empower Participation and Demand in the Discourse on Children's Rights," implemented by Izmir University of Economics, continues its civil society activities in Ankara. The 2nd Civil Society Workshop will take place in Ankara on March 9–11, 2026.

In this process, where the critical role of non-governmental organizations working in the field of child rights is emphasized—in terms of advocacy, field practices, and direct contact with communities—the workshops aim to strengthen NGOs’ rights-based, ethical, and safe communication practices.

    •    Principles of rights-based communication

    •    Ethical dilemmas encountered in field communication
    •    Building trust with communities
