The climate crisis is not just an environmental issue; it stands out as a multidimensional topic that affects many rights areas, from access to water and the right to food, to the right to the city and gender equality. The effects of the climate crisis are experienced differently in various regions and by different communities.
Within this scope, Sivil Düşün organizes Experience Meetings where civil society organizations and activists can share their experiences, learn from each other, and develop new collaborations.
The second Experience Meeting will focus on the climate crisis. Participants coming from different cities and fields of struggle will discuss the relationship between the climate crisis and rights-based struggles based on their own experiences. The meeting will feature collective discussions around these questions:
- How does the climate crisis affect different rights-based struggles?
- What are the common issues in different cities and fields of work?
- What learnings have emerged from field experiences?
- How can we draw strength from each other’s experiences?
With the approach that learning and solidarity in the civil sphere are strengthened through encounters and experience sharing, Sivil Düşün brings supported civil actors together through these meetings.
