CIVICUS Crisis Response Fund 2026 Applications Are Open

CIVICUS Crisis Response Fund has started accepting applications for the 2026 application period to support civil society organizations and initiatives facing increasing restrictions in the civil society sector. The fund supports advocacy and resilience efforts aimed at protecting the freedoms of expression, association, and assembly.

Within the scope of the program, organizations are offered grant support of up to 10,000 USD (for individual organizations) and up to 20,000 USD (for joint applications) depending on the type of application. Projects are expected to be completed within 3 to 6 months.

Two types of support are offered.

  • Advocacy grants: Policy impact studies against restrictive regulations, counter-narrative campaigns, and initiatives to strengthen civic space
  • Resiliency grants: Psychosocial support, digital and physical security, strengthening organizational resilience capacity

The fund is open to applications from all formal or informal civil society structures working to protect civil and democratic freedoms. Applicants are expected to demonstrate that they are under significant risk or pressure regarding civic space. Eligible applications can be submitted from Turkey.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year, and evaluations are conducted continuously.
