Within the scope of our Monitoring Freedom of Association II project, supported by the European Union and carried out in cooperation with the Third Sector Foundation of Turkey (TÜSEV), we will be organizing a study visit to Stockholm, Sweden. During this visit, which will take place between June 14-17, 2026, we will support the participation of three CSO representatives from Turkey.
Focusing on the participation of civil society in decision-making processes and public-civil society dialogue, during this visit, we will meet with various institutions and platforms to hear about Sweden's experiences in this area.
Application Timeline
CSO representatives who wish to participate in the study visit must fill out the application form no later than Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 23:59. Accepted CSO representatives will be notified by email on Monday, May 18, 2026.
Transportation and accommodation expenses of the CSO representatives accepted for the study visit will be covered by us.

Application Criteria
- The CSO to be represented must be carrying out advocacy work at local or national level, with particular focus on civil participation, public-civil society collaboration, and having an agenda/operations concerning participation in public decision-making processes,
- The applicant must be involved in the activities carried out by the CSO on the topics addressed during the study visit.
- The applicant must have proficiency in English.
- Preferably – having a valid Schengen visa for the relevant dates.
Evaluation Criteria
The following criteria will be taken into consideration during the evaluation. It is important to provide details in the Application Form that will allow for a thorough evaluation based on the criteria below and to avoid generic statements.
- The application form being filled out completely
- The alignment between the purpose of the application and the program
- Regional distribution
- Thematic distribution
- Gender balance
- Language proficiency and having a valid visa will be considered an advantage.
Important Notes
As translation support will not be provided during the visits, representatives of CSOs applying are expected to have adequate English communication skills. Moreover, having a valid passport and visa that would allow entry to Sweden on the given dates will be considered an advantage.
During the study visit, daily expenses will be reimbursed to participants’ bank accounts after the visit, provided that the expenses are documented and do not exceed the specified upper limit.
If your application is accepted, an "assignment letter" from your organization’s governing body confirming your participation in the entire program on behalf of your organization will be requested.
