Programme objectives
The Climate Communication Fund aims to increase the communication capacities of CSOs fighting the climate crisis, enabling them to generate public support, influence decision-makers and combat misinformation.
The fund will offer customized communication capacity development support to each organization. All activities will be carried out by the Communication Foundation and tailored to the needs of the organizations.
Who can apply?
Organizations wishing to apply must meet the following criteria:
- Be a legally registered climate NGO operating in the field
- Have an annual turnover of no more than 5 million USD/EUR
- Employ no more than 20 staff members
- Be able to communicate in English
- Have the capacity to dedicate at least 16 hours per month to communication activities
Applications from individuals, companies, unregistered structures, or organisations not active in the field will not be accepted.
Scope of support
Support in the field of communication may include the following:
- Communication training, workshops, and one-on-one coaching
- Customised communication strategy and plan for the organisation
- Social media and media toolkits
- Visual storytelling: video, photography, social media content
- Communication with digital, local, and print media
