Is the climate crisis an issue that only technical experts or governments need to solve, or is it a collective struggle for rights that extends from our right to live to our cities, from our seas to our future? Starting from this question, we met with our Board Member Prof. Dr. Nesrin Algan. We had a comprehensive discussion about the COP31 process, its place in the international climate regime, and the opportunities the summit to be held in Antalya offers for civil society.
Throughout the series, 30 different topics are discussed, ranging from climate law to marine ecosystems, from negotiation processes to the participation of civil society in decision-making mechanisms. Prof. Dr. Nesrin Algan explains the climate crisis not only through numbers and technical concepts, but also along the axes of rights, justice, and solidarity, in a language everyone can understand.
This series is designed as an interconnected whole. Therefore, we recommend watching the videos in order from 1 to 30 so that the topics can be followed and the role of civil society in this global mechanism can be better understood.
