The outcomes of the project “Developing a Climate Resilience Management System for Vulnerable Groups in Seyhan District: Towards a Local Governance Model,” which is supported under the “Strengthening Civil Participation for the Development of Democratic Local Governance in Turkey” Project implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and realized in cooperation with Development Workshop and Seyhan Municipality, will be shared with the public at an online meeting to be held on December 26, 2025.
Within the scope of the project, which aims to highlight the impact of climate change on small farmers and seasonal agricultural workers, a climate resilience model was developed to help local governments create more inclusive, feasible, and sustainable policies in response to the climate crisis. At the online meeting, findings obtained during the project, developed tools, and local experiences will be shared with participants.
The Seyhan Municipality 2026–2028 Climate Resilience Action Plan, which is one of the important outcomes of the meeting, offers a model example for local governments in developing policies and practices that prioritize vulnerable groups in the face of the climate crisis. The online meeting will also discuss lessons learned and best practice examples from the project process.
The meeting, which will be held on December 26, 2025 between 19:00 and 20:00 via Zoom, will be open to the participation of all stakeholders working in the fields of climate resilience, local governance, and civil engagement.
