With Code, Start Your Career Program Applications Continue

If you want to make a career in the technology sector, this program is for you? We code, the Start Your Career with Code program, organized in partnership with the Danish Refugee Council and the Starting Point, offers you what you need to know about software, starting from the very basics. Job placement opportunities await our participants who complete the program successfully.

Kodla, Start Your Career Program is a very comprehensive project where we bring together the training that Turkish and foreign youth, who aim for a career in software, may need to achieve their dreams, and includes different trainings that deal with the business world from all aspects. We will provide job placement support by directing our participants who have completed the training and graduated by participating in the Frontend and Backend boot camps that will be opened later, to our partner companies. The entire program will be conducted online and free of charge. Training will be in Turkish. Trainings to be implemented in this context:

1. Bootcamp Preparation Program Dates:

  1. Group: 22 November - 19 December
  2. Group: 17 January - 13 February

We will include all of our participants who apply and meet the criteria in the one-month Bootcamp Preparation Program, and with this program, where they follow the basic software trainings prepared in the targeted Bootcamp area (C# with .Net Core, JavaScript&React, Java) with the support of a mentor on Patika.dev, our participants will learn the technical skills before the bootcamp. We will help them prepare for the test. At the same time, we will support our program with soft-skills training covering the topics needed in the software field, freelancing training where we will explore the freelance world, and activities on Patika.dev.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We will determine our Bootcamp participants with the technical tests and interviews that we will apply at the end of the program to our participants who have successfully completed the preparatory program.


2. Life-skills Training:

Dates will be announced and participation will be optional. The aim of Life-skills Training, which will be given by the Danish Refugee Council, is to support people in coping with the anxiety and devastation caused by war and war-related events (loss of family, migration, exposure to violence, and assault). This training is one of the basic trainings implemented by UNICEF. It aims to contribute to the well-being of people exposed to relevant situations by developing healthy psychosocial skills and raising awareness of how others can support in such situations. Some of the topics to be covered in the training are self-awareness, problem-solving, decision making, self-expression, and teamwork.

The training is open to all Turkish and foreign participants. Participants will be certified at the end of the training.

3. Bootcamps:

Net Core Bootcamp with C# Java Bootcamp JavaScript&React Bootcamp 7 March 2022 - 22 May 2022 (Bootcamps will last 5-8 weeks and the exact dates will be announced.) By including our participants, who have successfully completed the preparatory program and passed the evaluation process, to our boot camps that will last 5-8 weeks, we will proceed to the last step of our web development journey! IMPORTANT NOTE: No separate applications will be opened for Bootcamps. Only the most successful students, who have successfully completed the preparatory education, according to the test and interview results will be entitled to enter the boot camps.

Pre-evaluation criteria:

  • If you are between the ages of 18 - 30*,
  • If you live in Şanlıurfa, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Hatay or Istanbul,
  • Especially if you want to pursue a career in the technology sector,
  • If you are highly motivated and interested in learning, then you meet the appropriate prerequisites to be included in this program!

*The applications of the candidates who are 3rd and 4th-year university students, graduates, job seekers, not working full time or aiming to change the sector will be prioritized.
