The goal of the program is to provide financial support for projects that reduce human impact on crags, protect surrounding ecosystems, and educate communities on responsible stewardship practices. Examples of supported projects include trail stewardship, erosion mitigation, signage, waste mitigation, and sanitation projects.
Who Can Apply?
- Local climbing organizations located outside of the continental United States (or representing an Indigenous community within the United States).
- Proposals must be submitted by a member of the local climbing community.
- Please note that an organization will not be awarded a grant in the same category in back-to-back cycles (e.g., Spring 2025 and then Fall 2025).

The application process is two-staged:
- URGENT - Initial Application Deadline: August 1, 2025
- Invitations to Submit Full Proposal Sent: August 4, 2025
- Full Project Proposal Deadline (By Invitation Only): August 29, 2025
- Decisions Sent: September 17, 2025
Project Period: October 1, 2025 - March 31, 2026
