Digital Democracy Initiative Hackathon: Applications are now open

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, or Turkey.
• Applications are open to registered civil society organizations or informal groups with at least two active volunteers.
• Applications must be submitted in English (however, prototypes can be developed in local languages).

Support Provided to Selected Teams

• $8,000 USD sub-grant
• Participation in an in-person hackathon in Bangkok, Thailand (1–5 November 2025)
• Expert mentorship (before, during, and after the event)
• Opportunity to develop prototypes and implement pilot projects
• Access to a regional innovation network
