Disaster Platform February newsletter is online

Disaster Platform explained its efforts to increase disaster preparedness, response and resilience in its February bulletin. Civil society organizations continue to struggle to heal together and build a stronger future. In this issue, the ongoing work of civil society organizations in the disaster zone in the second year of the February earthquakes is reported.

On the second year of the February 6, 2023 earthquakes, civil society organizations continue their work in the disaster zone. In the past two years, civil society organizations have implemented comprehensive projects in many areas ranging from education to psychosocial support, from livelihood strengthening to health and shelter solutions.
Centers established to support the all-round development of children, efforts to improve humanitarian living conditions in container cities and programs to revitalize the local economy continue to contribute to the long-term recovery process.

Volunteers and organizations continue their presence in the field to mitigate the deep effects of the earthquake and increase social resilience. While local initiatives are being strengthened to ensure that disaster-affected individuals can receive psychosocial support, continue their education and gain economic independence, collaborative efforts are underway to become more resilient and prepared as a society.
