The program aims to provide support to different groups working in the field of humanitarian aid and to support psychosocial support teams to develop their capacities in secondary trauma intervention.
Only MHPSS professionals working in Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Hatay, Adıyaman and Malatya can apply for the program.
Deadline for application October 26, 2023
Applications will be evaluated according to the criteria below and the first 24 people with the highest evaluation score will be invited to the program. Invitation e-mails will be sent to those who will be invited to the program on Friday, October 27.
In order to participate in the program:
• Being a psychologist, psychological counselor or social worker,
• To be currently working for an institution (preferably a humanitarian organization or public institution) in 5 provinces in the earthquake zone (Gaziantep, Malatya, Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Adıyaman),
• To have accepted to contribute voluntarily as an assistant practitioner in the face-to-face Employee Group Support Programs carried out by the Disaster Psychology Platform
• You must be able to obtain the necessary permissions from the institution you work for.
Preferably
• Previous experience working with trauma and challenging groups,
• To have been involved in the execution of group support programs for adults after traumatic events,
• Having experience in the field of refugee and migration will positively affect the evaluation score.
