The Discourse on Children's Rights is Gaining Strength: Workshops for Civil Society are Beginning

With technical support from UNICEF and in collaboration with the European Union Delegation to Turkey, the ACAR Project, implemented by Izmir University of Economics, is entering a new phase with its sub-project “Strengthening the Capacity of Academia and Media to Participate in and Demand Children's Rights Discourse.” Following workshops held throughout 2025 for media professionals and digital content creators, the project is now shifting its focus to civil society organizations. The first CSO workshop will be held in Izmir on December 23-25, 2025.

The project, which emphasizes the critical role of CSOs working in the field of children's rights in both advocacy and field implementation, aims to strengthen the communication capacity of NGOs in its new phase.

During the two-day face-to-face program, NGO representatives will learn about:
    •    Rights-based communication principles
    •    Child protection standards
    •    Safe and dignified storytelling
    •    Ethical dilemmas in field communication
    • Building trust with communities
    • Risks and safe representation in digital environments
    • Advocacy messaging and campaign design
    • Platform-specific content creation (Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, X, etc.)

Participants will gain theoretical knowledge and develop practical experience through case studies and hands-on workshops.

All CSO representatives working in the field of children's rights are invited to the workshop, which will take place in Izmir from December 23–25.
