Ekhagastiftelsen (Ekhaga Foundation) has started accepting applications for its 2026 grant program, which supports scientific research in the fields of organic farming, healthy food, nutrition, and complementary medicine.
Scope of the Program and Support Amount
There is no upper grant limit set for projects within the scope of the program. The foundation provides support totaling 20–30 million Swedish Krona (SEK) each year to an average of 15–25 projects.
Which areas are supported?
Applications particularly cover the following research areas:
- Organic agriculture, improvement of food quality, and food processing/storage processes
- The effects of nutrition and lifestyle on human health
- The role of diet in the prevention and treatment of diseases
- Scientific studies on complementary and alternative medicine practices
Who can apply?
- Universities and research institutes
- Foundations, associations, and companies
- Individual researchers
The program is open to applications worldwide, including from Turkey. For academic applications, an approval/recommendation letter from the head of the relevant department or an authorized person is required.
