Embassy of the Netherlands Calls for Support for Rule of Law Themed Projects

The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ankara and the Consulate General in Istanbul have published a new call for support. Within the scope of the call, civil society organisations, non-profit educational institutions, semi-public institutions and municipalities operating in Turkey can apply for projects to be carried out under the rule of law theme. Applications will be received on the basis of ‘evaluation in order of application’ and the process will continue until the allocated budget is fully allocated.

In the 2025 call, only projects linked to the theme ‘Access to Justice for All’ will be supported. The annual budget of each project will be limited to a maximum of EUR 50,000. The application process will take place in two stages.

  • Phase I - Video Presentation

Applicants are expected to submit a maximum 3-minute video in English (or with English subtitles) introducing their project idea. The video should answer the following questions:
    - What is the problem or need being addressed?
    - How does the project offer a solution to this problem?
    - What makes the project unique?
    - What are the concrete outputs and expected impacts?

The name of the organisation, project title, duration and approximate budget should be stated at the beginning of the video.
Note: Applications that do not meet the specified criteria will not be evaluated.

  • Phase II - Detailed Proposal

Applicants whose video presentation is assessed favourably will be invited to submit their detailed project proposals in English.
