EU TACSO 3 People-to-People (P2P) Meeting: Self-Assessment and Rights-Based Approach

EU TACSO 3 Project (Technical Assistance Project for Civil Society Organizations in the Western Balkans and Turkey) will hold an online People-to-People (P2P) meeting to create a platform for CSOs in Turkey and Western Balkan countries to share good practices of self-assessment and adopt rights-based practices under the title of “Self-Assessment and Rights-Based Approach” for civil society organizations (CSOs) in Turkey,  between 25-27 May 2022.

The event, which will take the form of a three-day meeting, aims to bring together more than 70 CSOs from Turkey who are willing to develop a participatory and rights-based governance structure within their own CSOs or CSO networks. After the meeting, a Final Report will be prepared.

The three-day meeting titled Self-Assessment and Rights-Based Approach will be held between 25-27 May 2022 (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) and each day between 10:00-14:30 (Turkey time).

CSOs wishing to attend the meeting can apply by filling in and submitting the application form via the EU TACSO 3 Information System (CRM) (via the online application form provided at the link above). Each CSO can participate in the event with a representative.

Applications received for participation in the event will be evaluated by the EU TACSO 3 team according to the following criteria.

  • Regional distribution
  • Thematic area distribution
  • Gender equality
  • Volunteer-based CSOs and/or CSOs working with volunteers

European Union TACSO 3 is a technical assistance project focusing on strengthening participatory democracies and harmonization processes with the EU in the Western Balkans and Turkey (www.tacso.eu). In this sense, EU TACSO 3 aims to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations to take an active role in democratic processes and to promote a conducive environment for the development of civil society and pluralistic media.
