Eurodad: Support for Youth and Climate Justice

The European Debt and Development Network (Eurodad) has opened the second round of grant applications as part of the "Connecting the Dots" project, implemented with support from the EU DEAR program. Grants of up to €60,000 will be awarded to youth-led grassroots organizations and small-scale NGOs advocating for climate, tax, and gender justice. The application deadline is March 26, 2026.

The sub-grant program is specifically designed to strengthen small and medium-sized civil society structures that do not (yet) have the administrative and financial capacity to directly apply for European Union funds.

  • 2026 focus topics: Tax Justice and Climate Justice.
  • 2027 focus topic: Gender Justice.

Who can apply?

  • Small and Medium-Sized Organizations: Local NGOs (Associations and Foundations) that cannot compete with large EU institutional funds.
  • Youth Groups: Student initiatives and youth councils.
  • Grassroots Organizations: Movements that especially highlight youth leadership in decision-making processes.

Note: Large civil society organizations with high capacity are not eligible for this call. The applying institution must be registered in an EU member or candidate country (such as Turkey).

Grant categories and amounts

The program offers three different flexible grant sizes according to the capacities of organizations.

  • Micro Grants: €5,000 – €15,000 (Maximum 12 months).
  • Meso Grants: €20,000 – €35,000 (Maximum 18 months – Must include at least 2 different eligible activity types).
  • Macro Grants: €40,000 – €60,000 (Maximum 18 months – Must include at least 3 different eligible activity types).

Important Rule: 10% Co-financing

At least 10% of the total requested budget must be covered by non-EU sources (the institution's own resources, donations, membership fees, or another fund provider).
