In October, our Antakya Office hosted two events aimed at supporting cultural production and strengthening civil society collaboration at the local level. In addition to a short film screening and talk that brought together local artists, a networking meeting was organized with civil society organizations (CSOs) in the region.
To support local artists, the short film “10’dan Sonra (After 10)”, directed by Serkan Zengin, was screened. Following the screening, a conversation was held with Zengin. Participants had the chance to learn about the director’s creative process, opportunities for cultural work in Hatay, and insights about the film.
In the second event of the month, the STGM Antakya Office brought together the Suna’nın Kızları initiative with CSOs working locally in Hatay. During the meeting, the Suna’nın Kızları team presented their work and discussed potential areas of collaboration with local organizations. The meeting contributed to strengthening dialogue and solidarity among civil society organizations in the region.
