Fourth Open Call for the CultureCIVIC Structural Support Grant Program

Applications for the CultureCIVIC: Culture and Arts Support Program – Structural Support Grant Program, which opened on 19 August, have been extended until Monday, 6 October 2025, 18:00. The Structural Support Grant Program aims to contribute to the independent sustainability of organizations by providing financial support for capacity-building efforts to institutions producing projects in the field of culture and arts.

Activities supported by the program:

  • Renovation or improvement of project spaces
  • Establishment of new spaces and essential technical equipment
  • Rental support for permanent performance venues (local theaters, galleries, art centers, or spaces for team activities aimed at professional capacity building)
  • Digital infrastructure development
  • Training and assignment of experts to increase the organization’s outreach and operational capacity

These activities must serve to enhance the organization’s capacity for artistic production, performance, and activities.

Civil society organizations, cultural institutions, collectives, and initiatives are eligible to apply. Applicant organizations must demonstrate at least three years of activity in the culture and arts field, while collectives and initiatives must document at least five years of activity.

The program provides grants of up to 20,000 EUR per organization.

In evaluating projects, priority will be given to activities that support rights-based approaches; bring together actors from different ethnic, religious, and linguistic backgrounds; and focus on issues such as social cohesion, human rights, freedom of expression, gender equality, LGBTI+ rights, or children’s rights.

Applications must be submitted through the Goethe-Institut Application Portal. Detailed information on the requirements is available in the Application Guide and the Frequently Asked Questions section.
