The training will be conducted in three levels according to the participants' experience level.
- Basic Level: A quick start for public officials who want to understand and implement participatory processes.
- Advanced Level: In-depth training for those who want to design participatory processes that create impact with more comprehensive knowledge and skills.
- Training of Trainers (ToT): A specialized program designed to develop the skills of experts working with public administrations to teach and disseminate citizen participation processes.
The training will be conducted in English, Polish, and Danish; ToT will be conducted in English only. The programs will be hosted on the EU Academy platform and will combine self-paced learning with moderated live sessions.
Program content
- Basic Training: Four-week program from September 30 to October 23, totaling 16 hours of work and a mandatory opening session.
- Advanced Training: Nine-week program from November 4 to December 17, totaling 10 modules (two mandatory). Each module lasts approximately 5 hours.
- ToT Program: A nine-week program running from November 6 to December 18, comprising a total of 11 modules (three of which are mandatory). Each module lasts approximately 5–6 hours.
The training is supported by case studies, forum discussions, group work, and live sessions led by expert moderators. Successful participants will be eligible to receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program.
Important dates
Deadline for Advanced Level and Training of Trainers (ToT) applications: October 22, 2025 (2:00 p.m., Brussels time)
Results will be evaluated based on motivation, experience, and the quality of the institution, taking into account the volume of applications. A maximum of 100 people will be accepted for the training. Application results will be announced on September 26 (basic level) and October 24 (advanced level & ToT).
