French Embassy in Turkey: 2026 Human Rights Project Call

The Embassy of France in Turkey has announced its 2026 project call to support civil society organizations that contribute to the defense and advancement of human rights, especially the rights of women, youth, and vulnerable individuals.

Scope of the program and amount of support

Selected projects are provided with a grant of up to 15,000 Euros. The requested grant can cover a maximum of 80% of the total project budget. (Additionally, operational costs such as rent or office equipment must not exceed 20% of the total budget). The implementation period for projects must be between August 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027.

Supported activities / areas

  • Gender equality and combating discrimination.
  • Rule of law and access to rights.
  • Freedom of expression.
  • Access to culture for disadvantaged groups and support for youth.

(Note: Special emphasis will be placed on structural and innovative projects with long-term impact).

Eligibility criteria 

Legally established civil society organizations can apply to the program. 

The application forms for each stage must be filled out in the format specified by the institution and must be completed in English.

How to apply? 

The application deadline for Stage 1 (Summary Proposal Submission) is Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Project owners who pass the pre-selection are expected to submit the full dossier by July 22, 2026.
