Applications are now open for the Gender Just Climate Solutions Awards, which aim to support initiatives that produce solutions to the climate crisis with a focus on gender equality. Organised by the Women & Gender Constituency (WGC) and WECF since 2015, the programme aims to highlight innovative climate solutions that are implemented in the field and led by women.
Who can apply?
Civil society organisations and activist groups led by women or working on gender equality that meet the following criteria can apply:

The project has been running for at least 1 year

It's a non-governmental initiative (CSO, collective, community group)

Include an approach that considers women and gender diversity

Prioritise local leadership and participation, and contribute to climate resilience

Be scalable and replicable
Application Categories
Applications can be made in one of the following three categories:
- Technical Solutions: Water, renewable energy, food production, digital solutions, etc.
- Non-Technical Solutions: Behavioural change, mutual learning, capacity building, etc.
- Transformative Initiatives: Governance, institutional/social transformation, questioning patriarchal norms
Important dates
- Application Deadline: 13 July 2025, Sunday – 23:59 (CEST)
- Award Ceremony: November 2025, COP30 – Belém, Brazil
