Save Our Seas Foundation (SOSF) has announced the Keystone Grants 2026 call, focusing on cartilaginous fish species as part of its efforts to protect the oceans and marine life. This grant program, which is announced every two years, provides an average of 25,000 USD annually to the supported projects. Projects are funded for a maximum of 3 years, and the funds are distributed annually.
Which fields are supported?
Within the program:
- Projects focused on the conservation of cartilaginous marine species such as sharks, rays, sawfish, and chimaeras,
- Applied scientific research centered on the habitats of these species,
- Conservation interventions and environmental education activities are supported.
Who can apply?
- Researchers, scientists, experts, and non-governmental organizations
- Applicants from around the world, including Turkey
In applications, it is mandatory for the project to focus solely on cartilaginous marine animals. Additionally, project leaders who are currently running an SOSF Keystone grant cannot submit a new application, and only one application per candidate is accepted.
The program consists of a two-stage application process. The final application deadline for the first stage is May 13, 2026 (18:00 CET)
