Program purpose and scope
The purpose of the program is to implement transformative projects that create a positive impact in local and global communities.
Budget Limit: A maximum grant of 10,000 USD is provided per project. Projects with very large budgets, where the grant budget constitutes only a small portion of the total project cost, will not be considered.
Additional Support: Institutions and individuals receiving the grant are offered professional mentorship support for the growth of their projects, as well as visibility opportunities on Purpose Earth's digital channels.
Supported activities / areas
Projects developed in the following three main areas will be funded under the grant:
- Environmental Protection: Projects that offer solutions to mitigate environmental degradation, protect/restore natural resources, or address climate change.
- Community Activation: Projects that create a positive and thriving community network while enabling transformative change for the greater good.
- Cultural Collaboration: Projects that support creative expression and connection while strengthening the values of compassion and collaboration across communities and sectors.
Eligibility criteria (who can apply?)
- Applications from Turkey (Geographical Scope): Some countries, such as the Balkans, Russia, Iran, Iraq, and Syria, are excluded due to legal restrictions as indicated in the grant guidelines; however, Turkey is not among these restricted countries. Therefore, NGOs, associations, foundations, and individuals in Turkey can apply directly to this grant program.
- Important Budget Restrictions (Overhead/Operational Costs): Operational support items such as salaries and fees for consultants, contractors, or administrators are strictly not funded. Travel expenses, capital campaigns, sponsorships, conferences, and awards are also excluded from the grant.
- Administrative and Technical Requirements: Projects that have already been completed are not supported.
Applications must be submitted in English and must include an English professional reference letter, obtained within the last year, describing how the applicant will implement the project. It is also mandatory to include a URL to a video of up to 1 minute explaining the project’s vision (in English or with English subtitles) as part of the application. Applications written using artificial intelligence (AI) will strictly not be accepted.
