Grant Support for Nature and Climate-Focused Projects from EOCA

The European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) has published its June 2025 grant call to support nature-based projects aimed at protecting biodiversity and combating climate change. Applications will be open until June 30, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. BST (GMT+1) / 1:00 p.m. CEST (GMT+2).

Program Objective

The EOCA Grant Program aims to provide financial support to nature-based projects that have high carbon sequestration capacity, support biodiversity, and directly benefit local communities. The protection, restoration, and reconnection of wild nature and coastal/marine habitats are among the priority objectives of the call.

Areas Supported

Projects should contribute to the following objectives:

  • Conservation, development, restoration, or reconnection of habitats
  • Strengthening climate-resilient ecosystems
  • Carbon sequestration and greenhouse gas reduction
  • Preventing biodiversity loss
  • Providing benefits to local communities, reducing poverty, and connecting with nature

Example habitats: Alpine meadows, forests, peatlands, freshwater habitats, salt marshes, mangroves, seagrass beds

  • Projects must be implemented in wild nature or coastal/marine environments.
  • The project area must be outside urban areas and connected to nature.
  • Projects must actively involve local communities in the process and provide benefits to them.
